A ROUND TABLE ON THE TOPIC "TURKMENISTAN IS THE HEART OF THE GREAT SILK ROAD" WAS HELD IN BISHKEK

On March 28, 2018, in order to promote the country's achievements in transport and energy diplomacy, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N.Isanov held a round table "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road".

Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions working in Bishkek, experts, faculty members of higher education institutions, students from Turkmenistan, studying in the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the media attended the event.

The rector of the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture named after N.Isanov A.Abdukalykov, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan M.I. Mesbah, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus A.Strachko, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan K Kokrekbayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan S.Kh.Olimzoda, counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan U.Abduyaminov, head of the Department of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, professor A.Dzhorobekova and others made their presentations.

The speakers spoke about the history of the Great Silk Road, which was a bridge between the peoples of the East and West, about the historical place of Turkmenistan located in the center of the Great Silk Road, about major energy and transit-transportation projects carried out by neutral Turkmenistan with the aim of restoring the communication space of this road. In particular, the importance of the international railway lines Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan, as well as the gas pipelines Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India were noted.

At the end of the round table, a concert of university students took place, as well as a reception by the Embassy, ​​during which participants were offered dishes of national Turkmen cuisine.
