Today, according to the instruction of President of Turkmenistan, related members of Government of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the delegation of Republic of Belarus headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Belarus A.N. Kalinin who came to Turkmenistan on a working visit. During this meeting, very wide issues of bilateral cooperation were consulted. Especially, many works being implemented by the companies of Belarus in our country were evaluated.

As it’s known, Mining and processing complex of Garlyk which is being constructed by OAO “Belgorhimprom” might be shown as the largest of these works.

In this regard, Turkmen side stated their concerns to Belarus side for not fulfilling the contractual obligations they have undertaken.

Particularly, exact evidences were presented about delay at determined period for some very important facilities of the infrastructure of this complex.

Moreover, Belarus side did not give any information until today about time of bringing left devices to Turkmenistan costing tens of millions of US dollars and details of further projects despite many applications from Turkmen side.

Other than these, evidences were stated that monthly salaries of citizens of Turkmenistan working at the construction of complex constructed by OAO “Belgorhimprom” were delayed for many times.

At the same time, news items published at Belarusian and many other press agencies about “Turkmen side is not fulfilling financial obligations they have undertaken” were presented to the attention of Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.

Accordingly, Government of Turkmenistan stated that this information is unfounded. In this regard, it was stated that OAO “Belgorhimprom” is not delivering necessary documents timely and fully for making related payments for works done.

In the view of above, Turkmen side emphasized the necessity of adoption of urgent precautions to the Government of Belarus about completing construction of Mining and processing complex of Garlyk timely and successfully.
