The President of Turkmenistan meets the members of National team, the winner of team contest of V Asian Games

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov commended the titles to the coaches and sportsmen, members of National team who made special contribution to the victory at V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. There are 245 prizes where 89 gold, 70 silver and 86 bronze medals in the collection of Turkmen sportsmen!

The Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, relative ministries and departments, non-government organizations, political scientists, coaches and famous sportsmen took part in the official ceremony in the Centre of Non-governmental Organizations.

The participants of the ceremony welcomed Turkmen leader in the conference hall of the Centre of Non-governmental Organizations.

Speaking to the participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that it was decided to award the sportsmen and coaches of national team of our country who successfully performed at V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in solemn atmosphere.

Our athletes performed with the triumph at the Asian Games and won 89 gold, 70 silver and 86 bronze, all together 245 medals, having demonstrated rapid development of the sports in independent Turkmenistan to the world, - the Head of the State said.

Later in the official ceremony, the President of Turkmenistan has signed the Decrees of conferment of the titles to the coaches and the sportsmen of national team of the country.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Minister S. Toyliyev read out the Decree.

In solemn atmosphere, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the coaches with commemorative golden badges and certificates to the coaches.

After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented Turkmen sportsmen who won gold medals of Ashgabat 2017 Games with commemorative golden badges and certificates.

On behalf of the coaches and the sportsmen, S. Batyrov presented the Head of the State with the bicycle.

Turkmen leader has said that he would give this valuable gift to the museum.

The Head of the State also informed that the sportsmen with special achievements are presented with the apartments in comfortable houses.

At the end of the award ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, having again congratulated the sportsmen of Turkmenistan who achieved high result, wished everybody strong health, prosperous and happy life and new successes.

Having made joint photo for the memory with the participants of the award ceremony by their request, the Head of Turkmenistan left the place of the event.

At the same day, the award ceremony of the sportsmen, the winners of silver and bronze medals of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games as well as presentation of valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to these sportsmen took place in the capital.
